So it's been awhile since I've posted...mia culpa O:-) I'm going to try and get back on the wagon with this....there has been SO much going on lately and nothing has been added here for...well...a long time! I'll get some pics up to update over the last several months (hopefully this week). In the meantime here's a lil verbal update for y'all!
In no particular order....
--> This fall we redid the basement bedroom, it had been our office and we turned it into the master bedroom. It was a lot of work (for Luke, not me...who are we kidding!) but I am in LOVE with the finished product. We still have a few loose ends to tie up with it but it looks great (pics to come!)
--> Since we moved downstairs, Michael has taken over our old room. That's right my "baby" is in a toddler bed!!! The transition couldn't have been easier! He was napping on a mat at daycare for probably about 2 months before we made the big night move at our house and we really haven't had any major issues. :-)
--> The child was SPOILED for Christmas! Wow!! We have a lot of new toys in this house right now and are quickly running out of places to put them! Plus we have a b-day coming up in less than 2 months so I'm sure it'll get worse!
--> Michael will be 2 in like 7 weeks....HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!?!?
--> I'm still plugging away at my Masters program. Taking at least one course this semester (maybe another work-at-your-own-pace one later in the spring). I'm hoping to be done with coursework by December - keep your fingers crossed for me!!!! That'll mean a graduation date of May 2012!!!
--> Luke decided to go back to school also! Just can't get enough of that edumacation around here ;-) He will be beginning his engineering degree in the fall and is taking some math and science courses this spring and summer to get ready.
--> Because of the two above items we will have basically NO social life until....well, who knows! Makes me look forward to my Wednesday nights that much more!!! (Moms Group and Brittni nights!! hehe!)
--> As if this semester wasn't crazy enough with both Luke and I taking classes, I have 2...yes 2...pre-service teachers in my classroom for at least part of the semester. I have a practicum student from one college for 3 weeks (1 week down) and a student teacher from another college for 8 weeks (1 week down).
That covers our major news for now I believe. The little man battled a cold this weekend so hopefully he's getting over that. We also bowled in a tourney yesterday. It was the 4th Annual Brad Welter Memorial Bowling Tournament. Brad is a cousin of mine who passed away in a car accident almost 4 years ago...he was 18. He is greatly missed but this tourney is an excellent chance for the community to raise money for the Potosi and Dickeyville Rescue and Fire Squads. Plus it's always a good time whenever you get a crazy family like mine together :-)
I'll leave you with a pic of my crazy lil man <3
